Lynn Vision wins Perfect World CS Challenge Series 2
Lynn Vision have taken down compatriots Rare Atom in the final of the Perfect World CS Challenge Series 2 to win the LAN event in Shanghai. The win for Lynn Vision sees them pick up crucial VRS points and also take home a prize money of $21,064.
Rare Atom got the final going with a strong T side on their pick of Inferno. The pistol and conversions with Tiger's AWP taking control saw Rare Atom go 8-4 up. While Lynn Vision evened out the pistols and the conversion against the anti-eco saw them pick up a couple of T rounds of their own, it was Rare Atom starting the final with a 13-9 win with Tiger on top of the scoreboard with 20 kills.
A five round CT streak once they brought out the guns on Dust2 saw Rare Atom negate Lynn Vision's pistol and conversion as it was a tied opening half to get Lynn Vision's map pick going. Tiger's triple saw Rare Atom lock in the T pistol and it was Rare Atom running away to a 11-6 score line as they kept it clean early on. A big Starry double saw Lynn Vision put up their first CT round and four on the trot from Lynn Vision saw them bring it to a one round game. A quick A hit with Tiger and Marek's doubles saw Rare Atom hit map and tournament point but impact from Westmelon and z4kr's AWP saw Lynn Vision push it to overtime. A back and forth affair in overtime ended with Lynn Vision holding on for a 16-14 win with z4kr dropping 28 kills to keep his team alive in the final.
The decider on Train turned out to be a lopsided affair as barring the T pistol and two towards the end of the half, Rare Atom put up a hapless T side that saw Starry, EmiliaQAQ power Lynn Vision to a 9-3 half. Rare Atom managed a couple of CT rounds off the back of picking up both pistols and converting on their CT side. C4LLME3SU3's openers got Lynn Vision on the board on their T side and they kept it clean to secure a 13-7 win with z4kr and Westmelon turning around a 2v4 in the final round on the A site to have Lynn Vision reverse sweep the series.
Other teams who participated in the event were 9INE, Gentle Mates, Kaleido, Change The Game, Last Bullet and BORING PLAYERS. Lynn Vision had beaten Last Bullet and 9INE on way to the final while Rare Atom saw off Kaleido and Gentle Mates to make the final. 3DMAX had beaten TYLOO to win the Perfect World CS Challenge Series 1.
