B8 edge out The Huns to push the Mongolians on the brink of elimination
The Huns became the second Asian team to drop to the 0-2 bracket as the Mongolian team were beaten by B8 in a close encounter in their 0-1 bracket game at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Stage 1.
The Huns got Ancient underway with a flawless pistol and after holding on against the eco and force buy, it was esenthial's double opener to get B8 on the board. B8 went on to tie up the score in no time before nin9 and sk0R turned around a 3v5 on the B site to see The Huns put up their fourth. The Huns found momentum on their T side off the back on a 2v5 conversion as cobrazera and Bart4k step up to see the Mongolian team win out the half. A headtr1ck quad and a npl triple saw B8 fight back at the very end to keep The Huns' lead to two as the Ukrainians found five on their CT side.
A full house from npl and headtr1ck saw B8 pick up their T side pistol and while nin9's AWP kept The Huns in the game with a couple of crucial rounds, the Mongolian team fell short at the final hurdle once again as B8 hung on for a 13-11 win with npl and headtr1ck topping the scoreboard with 23 and 20 kills respectively.
