FlyQuest's nightmare start to Stage 2 continues after 3DMAX loss
FlyQuest's horror start to the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 Stage 2 continued as the Australian team suffered yet another stomping on the opening day of the second stage. After a 2-13 loss to Natus Vincere earlier in the day, FlyQuest were comprehensively beaten by 3DMAX and the Australian stare at elimination moving ahead. FlyQuest's loss to 3DMAX has dropped them to the 0-2 bracket and INS and his boys are one BO3 loss away from exiting Budapest.
A late B hit with a triple from Maka saw 3DMAX start Inferno with the T pistol. FlyQuest were once again getting outaimed as 3DMAX raced away to a big start, going on a seven round streak to get the map going with Maka's 1v2 winning out the half for the French team. A triple from regali's AWP in the 9th round was one of the closer rounds of another disappointing half from FlyQuest as they were once again nowhere to be found to get things going.
It was only a brawl on the B site in the last round of the half that saw them avoid consecutive 0-12 starts to the Stage 2 at the Major. A team ace from 3DMAX saw the French team win both pistols but jks answered for FlyQuest with a triple on the force buy. Impact from jks and a big clutch from INS kept FlyQuest alive for a couple of rounds before 3DMAX finally closed out the map at 13-7 with FlyQuest dropping a round to two MP9s and two upgraded pistols at the very end.
