The MongolZ put FaZe on the brink of elimination
With a clean run into Stage 3 of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, FaZe might have had a lot of momentum and confidence along with a lot of people seeing them as a potential dark horse but karrigan and his boys were no match against Asia's best, The MongolZ in the 1-1 bracket game. The MongolZ dispatched FaZe with ease to move one BO3 win away from making Playoffs and also put FaZe on the brink of elimination.
The CT pistol thanks to Twistzz's Dualies saw FaZe pocket the opening pistol on Mirage but once The MongolZ brought out the guns it was a 3v5 conversion in the first gun round of the map to see controlez and bLitz put their team on the board. A four round streak saw The MongolZ have the half in their hand before they dropped a round to the FaZe Deagles and along with that a big round from broky saw FaZe end up evening out the score at 6-6.
controlez and 910 shut down a quick B hit to seal the second pistol and it was all 910 in the second half as the Mongolian AWPer's 1v3 in the first gun round of the half paved the way for a near-flawless half as The MongolZ shut FaZe's T side and karrigan and his boys out of the map. 910 ended the map with 24 kills and a rating of 2.00 as The MongolZ's 13-7 win put them into the 2-1 bracket and bLitz and co. are now one win away from making the Playoffs.
