ESEA League S56 open for registrations
The registrations for the next iteration of the ESEA League is open. ESEA League Season 56 will now feature a VRS-ranked format and a "clear path" to ESL Pro League for rising teams. The new format aims to make it easier for smaller teams to establish and advance their VRS positions given that not many organizations can afford to travel to ranked LANs to open their VRS positions.

In the new structure the league now runs under three main phases- ESEA League, ESEA Finals and Pro Competition, consisting of sub-divisions. The ESEA League consists of five divisions:
-
Open10
-
Entry
-
Intermediate
-
Main
-
Advanced
The latter stages of matches across all divisions can potentially award VRS points. The four from all divisions head into the next phase which determines two teams from each region that qualifies to the ESL Challenger League. Teams that already hold VRS positions are automatically seeded into "Advanced" in the initial phase.
