MOUZ fumble to fall to FaZe
They had the home hero, they had the odds in their favour and a road to the semi-finals was all but locked in but MOUZ fell to FaZe in the quarter-final of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 which sees FaZe continue their run from Stage 1 to the semi-finals now. For MOUZ, it was a disappointing end to another big event run that ends in the Playoffs without silverware.
A B hit saw FaZe start their pick of Nuke with the T pistol and it was a strong T side thanks to broky's AWP finding impact to see FaZe go 9-3 up. MOUZ hit back with a crucial pistol and it looked like MOUZ would run away with the map following some dubious defensive hold setups by karrigan but FaZe managed to hang on for a 13-11 win by the skin of their teeth with broky once again stepping up with the AWP to make sure FaZe didn't choke a big lead.
Over commitment from MOUZ on their T side pistol saw them throw away what should've been a lock-in to get going and MOUZ never recovered from that as Brollan and xertioN took forever to get on the board and with broky and frozen shooting hard, it was a massive 10-2 start for FaZe. There was no time wasted as FaZe breezed to a 13-2 win to lock in a dominating 2-0 win to move into the semi-finals.
