ZywOo named as StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 MVP
With Vitality winning the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 and their second Major of the year, it was none other than their talisman and French superstar ZywOo who has been named as the MVP of the Major. With ZywOo winning the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 MVP award, it is his second Major MVP of the year, having won previously in Austin earlier in the year.
ZywOo also becomes the first-ever player in the history of Counter-Strike to win three Major MVP awards, with ZywOo being MVP in all three of the organisation's Major title wins. ZywOo won his first Major MVP back in Paris for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and since then has has made it consecutive Major MVPs in 2025, overtaking device and coldzera, who had two Major MVPs to their name. The Frenchman is also the first player since coldzera to win back-to-back Major MVPs.
ZywOo ended the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 with a stunning 1.38 rating over the course of 13 maps. He finsihed the Grand Final with a 1.23 rating and his highest rating in the tournament on a single map came in the game against The MongolZ on Mirage, where he put up a rating of 2.47, going 25-8. The Nuke map in the Grand Final, which FaZe won, was the only map where ZywOo had a rating of under 1.00 with his 11-13 score seeing him go 0.83 in the opening map of the Major Grand Final. He turned things around though quickly, putting up big numbers on Dust2, Inferno and Overpass which eventually saw Vitality ease to a 3-1 win over FaZe.
