VITALITY WIN STARLADDER BUDAPEST MAJOR 2025
'FaZe magic', 'FaZe bullsh*t', 'BS Clan', whatever you want to call them and their quintessential chaotic gameplay, it may work against the rest, but against the best in the world, FaZe were no match as Vitality took them down 3-1 to win the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. Vitality writes themselves into the record books with the organisation picking up their third Major title, second CS2 Major title, becoming the first-ever Major winners of the new BO5 Grand Final format and also the first team since Astralis back in 2019 to win back-to-back Majors.
For FaZe and their showman karrigan, his horrific CS2 Major final record continues as the veteran Danish player has now lost three out of three Majors finals he and his team have attened since the transition to CS2. karrigan's personal shaky record of Counter-Strike Major final losses also continued as he lost his fourth Major final, the tied most for any player along with joining the likes of f0rest, Xizt, friberg and GeT_RiGhT. On the other hand, apEX put himself into an elite club, joining the likes of Xyp9x, device, gla1ve and Magisk to have four Major titles while ZywOo picked up his third Major title, with flameZ, mezii and ropz picking up their second Major title with the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 crown.
FaZe's pick of Nuke got the grand final underway with Wistzz once again shining with the pistol as he stopped mezii from retaking a 1v2 to hand FaZe the T pistol. After holding off against a nervy pistol buy, FaZe fell to a mixed buy with flameZ's Five-Seven coming in big on the fifth round to get Vitality on the board. It was Twistzz cracking open heads and site to see FaZe go 7-1 up but they failed to capitalise on that as Vitality pulled it back to keep FaZe's lead at four.

jcobbb continued his pistol precision, making sure FaZe locked in both pistols on their map pick and it was their veteran captain karrigan leading from the front, calling the shots and hitting them too, as a 12-3 CT half from him saw FaZe lock in a 13-6 win to start the final by drawing first blood.
flameZ started Dust2 with a big 1v2 to give Vitality the T pistol and it was one-way traffic as Vitality stormed to a 9-3 lead with FaZe's CT side not being able to withstand a warmed up ZywOo. ZywOo's quad kill on the second pistol was the final nail in the coffin for FaZe on Dust2 as the map was as crisp and clean for Vitality as the French star's USP headshots that saw them tie up the grand final with a 13-3 win.

frozen and Twistzz stepped up to hand FaZe the T pistol on Inferno but after the initial couple of rounds from the conversions, FaZe's T side went missing as big multi-kill rounds from ropz and incredible clutches from mezii saw Vitality race away to an 8-4 lead. frozen came in with a big triple kill, with all three coming through the smoke, which saw FaZe pick up a big pistol and they brought it to a one-round game after holding on by the skin of their teeth against a couple of upgraded pistol buys.
A mezii double opener on the B site saw Vitality get back on the board, in the first gun round of the half and it was the Brit himself, bailing his team out with multiple impactful double kill rounds that saw Vitality take the lead in the grand final after a 13-9 win.

Overpass kicked off with a clinical ropz quad and it was red hot ropz cracking open skulls of his former team which saw Vitality's T side run all over FaZe with apEX opening sites with ropz closing them. FaZe had no answer on Overpass as Vitality put up an unstoppable T side with Twistzz coming in with a 1v1 clutch win at the very end to give FaZe their first and only CT round. A quick B hit saw FaZe get another pistol in the series but they were outclassed as Vitality closed it quickly at 13-2 to lock in the Grand Final 3-1.
