Eruption avoids Sensational upset
After stunning JiJieHao in their opening game, Mongolian team Eruption were at the risk of suffering a big upset themselves at the hands of Korean team Sensation in their Group B encounter at the eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2025 but Eruption managed to avoid a big upset. The win sees Eruption move into the Playoffs from Group B along with JiJieHao while Sensation are eliminated on the opening day itself with a 0-2 record.
Eruption kicked off another Ancient match with the CT pistol for the Mongolian team but it was Sensation with continuous B hits that saw them go on six round streak early on. A couple of big multi-kill rounds from sideffect and MagnumZ saw Eruption manage to end their CT side with five rounds to keep the deficit at two. Jez led Sensation to retaking the second pistol to secure both pistols on Ancient but xenization's double in mid along with sideffect's Tec-9 saw Eruption answer back instantly. Once Eruption got going, the Mongolian team found their rhythm on a strong T side led by sideffect that saw Eruption avoid a big upset and hold on for a 13-9 win.
