Eruption take down JijieHao
Group B's opening match at eXTREMESLAND 2025 saw JijieHao take on Eruption on Ancient. Wonderzce's back to back multi-frag rounds set up Eruption for an early lead on the T-side. MagnumZ was on song with the AWP, picking off JijieHao one player at a time. JijieHao were down 1-6 but a late half resurgence from m1N1 and BOROS saw Eruption's lead minimize to 7-5.
A solid 3-0 start on the T-side saw JijieHao level the score and steal Eruption's lead. It was m1N1's turn on the CT-side AWP, mirroring if not surpassing MagnumZ's impact. Rounds were traded back and forth as the game eventually stumbled into overtime. OSAMAS and BOROS plowed through the CT-defense in the initial couple of rounds of overtime, dragging JijieHao closer to match point at 14-12.
Eruption returned the favor once the sides switched, with a fast mid to A play and sinnopsyy burned down from 100 to 0, adding salt to the wound as Eruption levelled the score at 14-14. An AWP 1v2 clutch from MagnumZ put Eruption on match point at 15-14 with JijieHao's economy in the bin for potentially the last round of play on Ancient. fury5k's entry in donut went in vain as JijieHao came back from the man disadvantage to push the game into a second overtime.
After Eruption locked in their match point at 18-15 off of a flawless T-side in second overtime, BOROS tore through the B-defense, landing three frags to keep JijieHao alive at 16-18. JijieHao's B-play in the next round came crashing down as Eruption closed Ancient 19-16. Despite BOROS finishing the game with 37 frags at an ADR of 100, JijieHao could not cross the line.
