Chinggis Warriors punish sloppy Rare Atom to book semi-final berth at eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2025

All semi-finalists locked in

Chinggis Warriors have booked their place in the semi-finals of the eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2025 after beating Rare Atom 2-0 in their quarter-final encounter. It was a disappointing end to the home team's campaign with Rare Atom failing to win a single map in the quarter-final match in front of their home fans in Shanghai. Sloppy T sides were the talking point of the quarter-final as only 14 T rounds were won across the series.

The series kicked off on the Mongolian team's pick of Ancient with cool4st winning out a 1v2 to time to see Chinggis Warriors start with the T side pistol. It was a flat T side though following the conversion as an eighth-round streak from Rare Atom that saw them win out the CT half. Two big multi-kill rounds from cool4st and tikuak at the very end saw Chinggis Warriors end with four T rounds. chengking denied Efire a 1v2 to hand Rare Atom their first pistol of the series and despite going 11-5 up in no time a lacklustre T side from the Chinese team saw Chinggis Warriors fight back to steal a 13-11 win.

Dust2 was all Chinggis Warriors to get going at a eight round streak from Chinggis got Rare Atom's pick underway. After conceding eight in a row, a ChildKing and chengking opener on the A site saw Rare Atom finally find their first round. It was chengking with a couple of multi-kill rounds at the very end which saw Rare Atom manage to put up three T rounds. A double from Summer's Dualies made sure Rare Atom picked up a much needed CT pistol to stay in the game. Rare Atom kicked off a stellar comeback off the pistol win with L1haNg and chengking's sharp shooting seeing Rare Atom tie up the score at 9-9.

Efire's double opener at Long finally helped Chinggis Warriors their first T round and back to back Long hits saw Chinggis Warriors finally find their footing on a slow-starting T side. Chinggis Warriors kept it clean thereon after as they closed out the series on Dust2 with a 13-10 win to take a 2-0 win and move into the semi-finals.

With Chinggis Warriors making the semi-finals, both the home team favourites in Rare Atom and Lynn Vision will be missing out to lift the trophy in front of their home crowd while there will be two Mongolian teams in the semi-finals in Eruption and Chinggis Warriors along with Change The Game and JiJieHao.
