Chinggis Warriors outlast Change The Game in messy semi-final affiar

Chinggis Warriors moves into final against JiJieHao

Chinggis Warriors have made their way to the final of eXTREMSLAND Asia Open 2025 after taking down the only remaining home team, Change The Game, the second semi-final. A messy semi-final saw Chinggis Warriors reverse sweep the Chinese team out of the competion as Chinggis Warriors broke the hearts of the fans in Shanghai, who would have wanted Change The Game make it through. Chinggis Warriors will now face JiJieHao in the final.

Hack1ng made sure Zero and LaiKeXu's doubles weren't wasted as he kicked things off on Ancient with a 1v1 clutch against cool4st to hand Change the Game the CT pistol. It was all Change The Game on their CT side as Chinggis Warriors had absolutely no answer, with the Mongolian team being shut down left-right centre. An embarassing T side saw Chinggis Warriors get outlpayed in every sense as Change The Game went 11-0 before a B hit finally stuck in the final round of the half that saw Chinggis Warriors pick up their first and only T round.

A yAmi double from Donut helped Chinggis Warriors retake on the A site to take the second pistol on their map pick. The pistol and conversion saw Chinggis Warriors pick up four on their CT side to raise the slightest hope of a comeback but it was quickly shut down as the home team wrapped up Ancient at 13-5 on the back of back to back B hits.

After a slow start on Ancient, Chinggis Warriors were instantly on the board on Dust2 as yAmi and ROUX did the heavy-lifting early on to see the Mongolian team go 6-0 up. After suffering six straight round losses, Change The Game hit the A site with pistols as a low buy conversion saw them get on the board. That A hit was the only round the home team could manage as a stellar defensive hold saw Chinggis Warriors go 11-1 up. Eventually one was all that Change The Game could manage as Chinggis Warriors hit back in style with a dominant 13-1 win to tie up the series.

A quick A hit from Chinggis Warriors saw them start the decider on Mirage with the CT pistol before Change The Game replied with the force. The force wars continued for a while as Chinggis answered with a force of their own as it was a trade of rounds in the opening couple of rounds on Mirage. Zero and Hack1ng's retake on the B site finally put a stop to the force buys and it was Zero with his B shutdowns that saw Change The Game make early inroads on their CT side. After four in a row from Change The Game, a quad kill from yAmi including him holding on in a 1v1 clutch against Zero saw Chinggis Warriors put up their third. A ROUX's double Tec-9 opener late in the half saw Chinggis find late momentum to end their T side with five rounds.

After a chaotic start to the second half which saw Chinggis Warriors steal some unwinable rounds on low buys, an execute on the A site in round 20 finally saw Change The Game put up a clean round. Two big rounds from yAmi and tikuak saw Chinggis Warriors hit match point first but Change The Game hung on to push it to overtime on the back of a quick A hit. Chinggis Warriors' experience finally came through as they hung on for a 16-12 win to reverse sweep the series 2-1 and move into the final.
