Senzu requests Valve to give the Budapest Major in-game trophy to controlez

"It feels wrong to have it"

The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 has ended, and the top ranked teams at the Major have received their in-game trophies. In line with Valve’s longstanding rule, the trophies were awarded to players who were on the roster before the Major lock, rather than to the stand-ins who actually played at the event. However, some players have come out asking Valve to give the trophies to the stand-ins, saying that they deserve it more.

It started with FaZe's rain, who tweeted shortly after receiving a silver Finalist trophy instead of Twistzz, who was the stand-in for FaZe. Later, The MongolZ's Senzu, who was benched a couple of tournaments before the Major, also voiced the same.

He requested Valve to give the trophy to controlez, who was standing in for Senzu, citing 'it feels wrong to have it". So far, there has been no response from Valve, and it looks unlikely that Valve will make a change.
