controlez joins The Huns
Following an extremely eventful 2024 and the first half of 2025, The MongolZ hit their first roster speed bump in some time with Senzu stepping down from the main roster. The Mongolian side had take Asian Counter-Strike to new heights over the last year, even recording the region's first ever Major grand-final appearance at BLAST.tv Austin 2025. With their star player moved to the bench, all eyes were on the Mongolian powerhouse to witness the roster's first new player in over two years.
It was 28-year old controlez who was announced as the stand-in to fill Senzu's shoes. While he was a new face in the global scene, controlez was a menace in the Asian scene. He was the hardest hitter at Chinggis Warriors, juggling between the AWP and rifles to single handedly turn games around for his team. Little was expected out of controlez when he joined The MongolZ given the chemistry their roster had built over the years, naturally requiring controlez quite some time to settle in.
controlez debuted for The MongolZ at IEM Chengdu 2025 and after their opening map loss to HEROIC, he lit up the server with a 1.89 showing on Overpass, going 22-7 as The MongolZ bounced back and ended up winning the series. controlez held up his end of the bargain as The MongolZ took down Spirit in the lower-final to book an IEM Chengdu playoffs spot. controlez even recorded a playoffs appearance with The MongolZ at the Budapest Major before ending his stand-in stint.
Now controlez joins The Huns, who has bagged a handful of C-tier tournament wins in 2025. The Huns made their debut Major appearance at StarLadder Budapest 2025 but recorded a disappointing 1-3 exit in the first stage. With controlez in the mix, The Huns are now:
