The MongolZ exit IEM Kraków 2026 after loss to FURIA
Playing their first tournament of the year, The MongolZ had an early exit as the Mongolian team has been sent packing from IEM Kraków 2026 after going down to FURIA in their lower bracket encounter.
The MongolZ got their pick of Mirage going with the T side pistol and conversion but there was very little they found after that as a lacklustre T side saw FURIA take a four round lead. The MongolZ fought back with a stellar CT hold of their own as mzinho, Techno and their new signing cobrazera had a strong half that saw them pull things back as they pipped FURIA to steal a 13-11 win from being 4-9 down.
Inferno saw a back and forth game as neither team could put together a big string of rounds with FURIA fighting back from 9-12 to push things to overtime with big clutches from either side, FalleN and 910 especially, seeing them keep their team alive. It was a clean sweep from FURIA in overtime though, as FURIA tied things up with a 16-12 win.
A near flawless pistol with impact from KSCERATO saw FURIA start the decider, on Nuke, with a shutdown and the Brazilian squad kept it clean early on to race away to a 6-0 start. A big quad kill round from mzinho saw The MongolZ convert a 2v4 to get on their board. That was about it as another strong defensive half from FURIA saw them go 10-2 up.
YEKINDAR and KSCERATO opened up the top site with ease to make sure FURIA picked up both pistols on the the decider and they wasted no time in easing to a dominant 13-2 win to reverse sweep the series 2-1. The win keeps FURIA alive at IEM Kraków 2026 while The MongolZ exit after two disappointing losses and a poor start to 2026.
