Registrations for Open Qualifiers for PGL Bucharest 2026 live now

PGL have announced that the Open qualifiers for their upcoming tournament, PGL Bucharest 2026 is live now with Asia having three different qualifiers for the region. Indian teams will have to player through the West Asia Open Qualifier, to stand a chance to make it to the main event.

PGL are hosting Open Qualifiers for Europe, North America, South America and Asia with From each Open Qualifier, the top two (2) teams will advance to the Closed Qualifiers, where they will meet the invited teams. All of the Open Qualifiers will take place between February 14-February 17, 2026 with the Closed Qualifiers taking place between February 26-March 1, 2026.

The Asian region has three Open Qualifiers - Oceania Open Qualifier, East Asia Open Qualifier and the West Asia Open Qualifier. The West Asia Open Qualifier is the one where Indian teams can sign up for and will take place on February 14th and 15th. Other regions eligible for the West Asia Open Qualifier are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, British Indian Ocean Territory, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The start time for the Open Qualifier will be 17:00 IST with Round 1 kicking off from 17:00 IST. The opening day will see the action go on up until the Round of 16. The second day, February 15th, will see the Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final with the quarter-finals and semi-finals being BO3 encounters while the final will be a BO1 match. Both teams who make the final will qualify for the Closed Qualifier.

Three teams from each of the three regional Asian qualifiers (Oceania, East Asia and West Asia) will move to the Closed Qualifiers for the region, with two being through the qualifiers and one through the West Asia VRS (invited).

PGL Bucharest 2026 will take place between April 4-11, 2026 with a total of 16 teams (12 invited and 4 from the Qualifiers) battling it out for the $1,250,000 prize pool at the PGL Studios in Bucharest, Romania.
