The MongolZ hit paiN with a stunning reverse sweep to start in Cluj-Napoca with a win
The MongolZ have started their PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 campaign with a win over paiN and the win is also the Mongolian team's first win of 2026. After going down on the opening map in the series, The MongolZ ran through the Brazilian team with paiN winning just 3 rounds across the last two maps to see The MongolZ complete a dominant reverse sweep.
The Brazilian side's pick of Nuke kicked off the match with paiN's T side pistol win and conversion seeing them go 5-0 up before The MongolZ salvaged the half to tie things up. Despite 910 shining with the AWP, The MongolZ fell flat on their T side even though the won the pistol as paiN picked up a big force to close out their map pick at 13-7 with nqz on top of the scoreboard with 16 kills.
On their pick of Mirage, The MongolZ were in no mood to mess around as they went near flawless, starting with an 11 round T side before easing to a 13-1 win to tie up the series with the Brazilians getting steamrolled. A hot start from mzinho and cobrazera saw The MongolZ race way to a big start on the decider on Dust2 on their CT side. A 1v3 from The MongolZ's newest piece, cobrazera, netted them a fifth straight round to get going. After eight in a row, a B spilt finally saw paiN put up their first T round and paiN found a second in the final round of the half, converting a double opener at Long.
Two was all paiN could manage as the second half pistol helped The MongolZ ease to a 13-2 win with cobrazera finishing the map with a 25-3 K/D to see the Mongolian team complete the reverse sweep and put up their first win at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026.
