Gentle Mates, 9INE, HOTU locks in semi-finals spots in Istanbul
The quarter-finals at IstanbuLAN 2026 are done and dusted with the usual suspects in 9INE, Gentle Mates and HOTU amongst those who are still alive in the $25,000 LAN tournament taking place in Turkey.
Here's a quick look at how the quarter-final games fared.
Gentle Mates, magic ease through to the semis
The first quarter-final of the day saw Gentle Mates take on home team Bushido Wildcats with the Spanish team seeing off a late comeback attempt from the Wildcats on their pick of Anubis to take a 13-10 win. On their own pick of Nuke, it was a commanding affair from the Spaniards as they ran through their opponents to take a 13-3 win to make their way to the semi-finals.
Russian team magic faced Misa in their quarter-final encounter with the Russian team picking up a near flawless win on the Turkish's team pick of Anubis, going 13-1 to draw first blood. Misa showed some fight on Mirage with a tied opening half but a clean CT side saw magic take a 13-9 win to seal the series 2-0.

9INE hammer their way through, HOTU fight off early scare
9INE, who took on JiJieHao in one of the most anticipated games of the day, had a comfortable way through to the final four. 9INE's strong CT half on JiJieHao's pick of Ancient saw cej0t's 2.19 rating performance helping 9INE start with a 13-5 win. On their own pick of Overpass, it was one better from 9INE, as they closed the series with a 13-4 win.
The final game of the day had HOTU go up against Kosovo squad MANA and HOTU were down 5-8 on MANA's pick of Dust2 before fighting back on their T side to steal a 13-11 win with frontales going above and beyond with a 28-kill performance. HOTU kept it much cleaner on their pick of Overpass, picking up a 13-4 win to lock in the final semi-final spot.
