
The MongolZ revealed as invited team for PGL Bucharest 2026; Legion gets an invite for Asia Closed Qualifier
PGL have released the team list of the invited teams for their upcoming event, the PGL Bucharest 2026, with The MongolZ being the only Asian team invited directly to the main event. The tournament will take place between April 3 - April 11, 2026 with a prize pool of $1.25 million in Bucharest, Romania.
The tournament will have 16 teams with 12 of them being invited teams while the other four will come from the Regional Closed Qualifiers. Amongst the 12 revealed invited teams, only 3 of the Top 10 teams have accepted the invite to the event, with those three being PARIVISION, FaZe and The MongolZ. The MongolZ remain the only Asian team who are directly invited to the event. The other teams who have received invites include the likes of Astralis, s1mple's BC.Game, B8 and 3DMAX amongst others.

The four other teams will be finalised from the regional Closed Qualifiers. The four regions are - Asia/Oceania, North America, South America and Europe. The Closed Qualifiers will have invited teams along with a couple from the regional Open Qualifiers battling it out for a spot in the main event.
From Asia, PokemoN's Legion has secured a Closed Qualifier invite along with Iranian team ScarX. Bhavi and Ph1NNN's Indo-Pak team Biriyani will also take part in the Closed Qualifiers, after having cleared their way through the Open Qualifiers. Other teams from the Asian region in the Closed Qualifier through the invites are Lynn Vision and Rare Atom. From Oceania, dexter's THUNDER dOWNUNDER and Mindfreak have secured invites.
The PGL Bucharest 2026 Closed Qualifiers will take place between February 26, 2026 - March 1, 2026. The Asian region has been subdivided into 3 subregions (Oceania, West Asia, East Asia), where each subregion's Closed Qualifier will feature 4 teams (2 invited and 2 from the OQ); the winner of each subregion will then advance to the Asia Final, a 3-team Round Robin to determine who qualifies for the Main Event.
