Arise starts with a loss

The opening day of ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Cup 1 saw three BO3s take place as the teams were looking to make their way to the Regional Finals. Indian team Arise were also in action as Bhavi was leading the only Indian representatives in the event and it was a disappointing start for Bhavi and his boys.

Here's a quick look at how the action unfolded on the opening day.

Legion best The QUBE; Deep Cross stunned

Pakistani squad Legion went up against Mongolian team The QUBE and PokemoN and his boys were on song from the get go. On their pick of Dust2, Legion started with a four round lead on their T side and despite a comeback attempt from The QUBE, Legion held on for a 13-11 win with Bloody and PokemoN topping the scoreboar with 23 and 22 kills respectively.

Mirage saw Legion start with another 8-4 lead and they made sure to not let the Mongolian team have any shot at a comeback this time as they wrapped things up quickly at 13-7 to lock in a 2-0 win.

Deep Cross were up against BORING PLAYERS in ther upper bracket encounter and their series also got going on Dust2. A back and forth affair saw the opening map head to overtime where the Chinese team kept it clean to take a 16-13 win. On Deep Cross' pick of Nuke, the mixed SEA squad were nowhere to be found as BORING PLAYERS' 10 round CT side saw them ease to a 13-5 win to pick up a comfortable 2-0 win in the end.

Arise lets go of early lead; Just Swing forfeits midway through the game

The only Indian representatives in the event, Arise, started their campaign against Change The Game and after holding on for a 13-11 win on the Chinese team's pick of Inferno, a messy T side on Mirage saw Change The Game fight back to take a 13-8 win. The decider on Ancient was a clean T side from Change The Game complete the reverse sweep with a 13-9 win.

Just Swing were up against Mongolian team NomadS in their encounter and the series got going on Inferno. NomadS started with a 10-2 lead before Just Swing forfeited the game which handed the Mongolian team the victory.
