The MongolZ make Playoffs at Cluj-Napoca after taking down NAVI
The MongolZ have secured their place in the BT Arena, locking in a Playoffs appearance at the ongoing PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 after beating Natus Vincere (NAVI) in their swiss round 4 match. After getting blown away on their own map pick of Inferno, The MongolZ fought back to turn things around with their new signing cobrazera having massive impact which saw The MongolZ stick the reverse sweep.
The MongolZ's pick of Inferno got the sereis going and it was the iM and b1t show as The MongolZ were nowhere to be found on their map pick. A toothless T side saw them managed just three T rounds despite picking up the force buy after losing the opening pistol and three was all bLitz and co. could manage as NAVI dominated their way to a 13-3 win.
While Inferno was the NAVI show, Nuke kicked off in a similar one-sided mannner as cobrazera and Techno powered The MongolZ to 10 straight rounds to get NAVI's pick going. NAVI found their first two rounds right at the end of the opening half and while they picked up a couple of CT rounds, it wasn't enough as The MongolZ tied up the series with a big 13-7 win of their own with Techno and cobrazera on top of the scoreboard with 21 kills each.
NAVI started Mirage with five straight CT rounds before cobrazera and mzinho's Deagle saw the Mongolian team get on the board. The MongolZ ended their T side with five T rounds before quickly tied up the score at 7-7 after locking in the second pistol and conversion. Seven consecutive CT rounds to get the second half going meant that The MongolZ hit match point first. NAVI then found four on the trot to put up a comeback attempt but it fell flat at end as cobrazera's AWP from Short, shut down a B hit to see The MongolZ steal a 13-11 win to reverse sweep the series 2-1. The win sees The MongolZ move into the Playoffs at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 while NAVI fall to the 2-2 bracket.
