Senzu starts Passion UA chapter with a win over Liqud
Mongolian star Senzu kicked off his new career journey with Passion UA with a win over Liquid in their opening game at ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 1. It was also the debut for the new-look Passion UA squad with Senzu and try, their two new signings in the server together for the first time. Senzu had a strong return to the server as he top fragged on Nuke to secure the win for his new team with this being the Mongolian's first competitive game since end of October 2025 when he announced his shock self-benching.
Passion UA's pick of Dust2 got the series going and despite taking the opening T pistol and anti-eco, a five round streak from Liquid on their CT side once the guns were out that them primed for strong CT half before Passion UA pulled it back to a tied opening half with Kvem and try having a couple of big rounds. A clean CT half, after locking in both pistols meant that Passion UA raced away to a big 13-8 win with Kvem starring on the opening map with 22 kills and a 1.51 rating.
After a relatively quiet Dust2, Senzu kicked off Liquid's pick of Nuke with a crisp triple on the CT pistol which set the tone for a strong CT half saw Passion UA were 8-2 up in no time, of the back of an aggressive defensive half. Impact from NertZ in the final couple of rounds saw Liquid pull it back to four T rounds and the CT pistol and conversion saw them bring it down to a two-round game. With try and Kvem having a couple of big rounds, Passion UA were 11-7 up before Liquid found their footing on a shaky T side with a big siuhy 1v2 on A site helping Liquid push on and force overtime.
Sneaky pushes by nicx saw Passion UA lock in multiple early advantages in overtime and it was a big round from try that saw Passion UA hold on for a 19-15 win in double overtime to close the series at 2-0. Senzu topped the scoreboard on Nuke, dropping 34 kills with 1.43 rating.
