
ECL S51 Cup #2 invitees announced
The invited teams for ESL Challenger League Season 51 Cup #2 have been announced. On the Asian side of things, a total of sixteen teams were handed out invites- fourteen based on their VRS positions and two based on their ESEA League Season 55 run. Alter Ego won ESEA League Season 55: Asia while TakeMeAway Gaming finished at #2, netting both these teams an ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia Cup #2 slot.
The fourteen VRS invitees includes familiar faces- Rare Atom, Chinggis Warriors, FengDa and Change The Game among others. No Indian team has made the cut this season, while Pakistani team Legion has bagged an invite through the Asian VRS. Arise was the only Indian side in Cup #1 and their only win in the tournament came from a forfeit.
ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia Cup #2 will feature sixteen teams in a double-elimination best-of-three bracket. The winners bags a cash prize of $5,000 USD and confirms their Regional Final slot. The Regional Final will put winners of the four iterations of ECL Cups (Asia and Oceania) in a single-elimination bracket and the winner qualifies advances to ESL Pro League Season 24. The ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Cup 2 will take place between March 20 - March 27, 2026, with a $10,000 prize pool and will be held completely online. The winner will book their place in the ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Finals.
