TYLOO to take on Chinggis Warriors in the upper-final of the CAC 2026 Asia CQ
The CS Asia Championship 2026 Asia Closed Qualifier's upper bracket final is now set, with the upper semi-final coming to a close today. In the first semi-final, Alter Ego's revamped lineup with BOROS took on Chinggis Warriors. The opening map was Alter Ego's pick of Mirage where they nearly crumbled on the T-side. BOROS completely disappeared with just three frags to his name in the first half but BnTeT and Polbandana stepped up to keep Alter Ego in the game at 5-7.
After pistol and anti-eco wins in the second half, Chinggis Warriors slowed down as Alter Ego crept up to double figures. However, that's the furthest they'd get as ROUX and tikuak gave Chinggis Warriors the final push to take them across the line at 13-10, to go 1-0 up in the series. The second map took us to Nuke and Chinggis Warriors made a mockery out of Alter Ego's CT-side, pushing them down to 1-8 disadvantage. The Middle Eastern core slightly controlled the damage towards the end of the half but still walked away with a 4-8 disadvantage.
Alter Ego nullified Chinggis Warriors' lead right out the gate in the second half after T-side pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions. ROUX and Efire stepped up with consecutive multi-frag rounds, to derail Alter Ego's comeback and take Chinggis Warriors over the line 13-8 and wrap the series 2-0, sending Alter Ego down to the lower bracket.

The second upper semi-final saw The Huns take on TYLOO. The Huns started on the CT-side of Mirage with pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions but conceded crucial gun rounds. TYLOO recovered from the early deficit and tied the first half 6-6. TYLOO once again got off to a rough start in the second half but the trio of Mercury, Moseyuh and Jee delivered under pressure, fetching TYLOO a 13-10 win on the opening map.
The second map took us to Nuke where TYLOO started with a pistol round win on the CT-side but fumbled the anti-eco. The Huns did not make the most of it as TYLOO stole the follow-up eco round. The Huns eventually won the force-buy war but both teams still ended up splitting the first half 6-6. TYLOO hit double figures quickly in the second half and were inches away from map point at 11-6 when sk0R and nin9 came alive, taking the game to 11-11. Consecutive multi-frag rounds from Moseyuh stole the game away from Chinggis Warriors as TYLOO secured a 13-11 win on Nuke. The 2-0 series win sent TYLOO into the upper-final while knocking The Huns down to the lower bracket.
