Chinggis Warriors, SemperFi amongst teams booking XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 Finals spots

The teams for the XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 Finals has been confirmed as SemperFi, Chinggis Warriors, XDM and UR have booked their place in the crucial upcoming Shanghai LAN event, which will be key with the event being the final LAN event in the region ahead of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 invite cutoff date, which is April 6, 2026.

SemperFi was the first team to qualify for the main event with two big wins in their Group A game against Chinese squad XDM and Just Swing. XDM also qualified through the lower bracket, seeing off Unitronics and Just Swing. Mongolian squad Chinggis Warriors was the first team to qualify from Group as they beat SHPL and UR in their group games while home team UR needed to fight off SHPL in the elimination game to make the LAN event.

The XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 Finals will be a $15,000 LAN tournament taking place in Shanghai, China between April 1-April 5th, 2026 with 8 teams battling it out for the title and some crucial VRS points ahead of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 invite cutoff date. Along with those having qualified from the online stage, the likes of TYLOO, FlyQuest, The Huns and Rare Atom will also be in attendance.

SemperFi, FlyQuest and TYLOO are all currently slated for a Stage 1 invite for the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with the current standings and they will look to solidify and cement their place in the Major invite race.
