PGL disqualifies XOM9KI from Astana qualifier

PGL have announced that they have disqualified Kyrgyzstani team XOM9KI from the PGL Astana 2026 West Asia Closed Qualifier. While PGL didn't reveal the exact reason for the disqualification, PGL stated the decision was made due to 'violations of the tournament’s competitive integrity rules' by XOM9KI.

THE UNIT who were beaten by XOM9KI in the PGL Astana 2026 West Asia Open Qualifier semi-final, will become the fourth team in the West Asia Closed Qualifiers along with DEPO, Legion and Haunted House. XOM9KI's roster for the PGL Astana 2026 West Asia Open Qualifier consisted of a mix of Kyrgyzstani and Russian teams including Soltero, Akyl1337, quanetteo, woooooooooop and Reppster.

The PGL Astana 2026 West Asia Closed Qualifier takes place between March 31 - April 1, 2026 with the four teams fighting it out for an Asia Closed Qualifier spot. The four teams will fight it out in a double elimination bracket. THE UNIT will face Uzbekistani team Haunted House in their opening match in the PGL Astana 2026 West Asia Closed Qualifier.
