PGL Bucharest 2026: Preview
PGL Bucharest 2026 is set to kick off from tomorrow with The MongolZ being the only Asian team at the $1,250,000 event in Romania. 16 teams will fight it out in Bucharest with Bucharest seeing the likes of PARIVISION, Astralis, BC.Game, MIBR amongst others in attendance.
The MongolZ will face s1mple's BC.Game in their opening game with eight BO3s scheduled for the opening day tomorrow. PARIVISION come in as one of the tournament favourites with The MongolZ with the likes of Astralis, FUT, Legacy, 3DMAX, B8, NRG, EYEBALLERS, MIBR, Wildcard, Inner Circle amongst others in attendance. FaZe are one of the invited teams but karrigan and co. are expected to skip the event as it clashes with HLC Belgrade PRO 2026 event which is their last chance to make the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
The Huns were supposed to be the second Asian team at the event but withdrew from the event as they will be present at the XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 Finals, which will run at the same time but in Shanghai, China. The tournament will follow a Swiss BO3 for the Group Stages before moving to the Playoffs which will be a single elimination BO3 format. The Grand Final will be a BO5 encounter.
While The MongolZ will be the only Asian team at the event, there will be Indian representation at the event as Bleh will be joining the desk as one of the analysts.
