Vitality on the brink of back-to-back Grand Slams
After taking down home team FURIA in the semi-finals of IEM Rio 2026, Vitality are now one BO3 win away from locking in not only the IEM Rio 2026 title but also securing the Grand Slam. If Vitality does win IEM Rio 2026 and win the ESL Grand Slam, they will become the first-team to win back-to-back ESL Grand Slams. Should Vitality win the Grand Slam, ropz will also create history, becoming the first-ever player to win three Grand Slams, having already won one with Vitality and one with FaZe.
Having won the ESL Grand Slam Season 5, Vitality can now make it consecutive Grand Slams and wrap up the Season 6 of ESL Grand Slam which started almost a year ago. Vitality's ESL Grand Slam Season 6 campaign kicked off with their IEM Dallas 2025 win and in their ESL Grand Slam Season 6 race, they have won ESL Pro League Season 22 and IEM Kraków 2026. Four titles in the current season in a window of 10 consecutive events will net them the ESL Grand Slam VI along with a prize money of $1,000,000. Vitality have a chance to wrap up looking later on tonight.
If Vitality are unable to win IEM Rio 2026 and fall to Spirit, they will still have a chance to win the ESL Grand Slam Season 6 during IEM Atlanta 2026. Other events which are in the current Season 6 window are IEM Cologne Major 2026, ESL Pro League Season 24, IEM China 2026, IEM Kraków 2027, ESL Pro League Season 25 and ESL Pro League Season 26.
