Another record ticked off for Vitality
As Vitality booked their place in the semi-finals of the ongoing IEM Rio 2026 tournament, apEX and his boys ticked off one more unique record. Vitality now have the longest top 4 streak at Big Events (as per HLTV) going past Astralis' 19 event streak between 2018 and 2019.
With the data being pulled from Big Events across Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2, Vitality are now on a 20-event streak where they have made semi-finals in all of those events. In fact the last time Vitality did not make the semi-finals of an event was at the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 Finals, which was Vitality's first LAN event with ropz. After qualifying for the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 Finals, Vitality suffered a 0-2 loss to the current Aurora team, who were playing under the Eternal Fire moniker back then.
Post that there has been no looking back for apEX and his boys as they went on to win IEM Katowice 2025, ESL Pro League Season 21, BLAST Open Lisbon 2025, IEM Melbourne 2025, BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1, IEM Dallas 2025, BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, ESL Pro League Season 22, StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, IEM Kraków 2026, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 and BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026.
Vitality are currently set to play home team FURIA in the second semi-final of the IEM Rio 2026 later tonight and if the reigning Major champions do end up winning the title in Rio, it will also be back-to-back Intel Grand Slams for Vitality.
