TYLOO picks up controversial win against Alter Ego; Chinggis Warriors fight past Just Swing

The upper bracket quarter-finals saw TYLOO go up against the promising mixed squad of Alter Ego but it was the Chinese team with two dominant map wins to close the series early. On Alter Ego's pick of Mirage, it was a 13-5 win for TYLOO before an even more dominant 13-1 win on their pick of Nuke to close out the series. Following the completion of the game, Alter Ego's Polbandana and PokemoN accused TYLOO of manipulating their ping to their advantage and putting Alter Ego at a disadvantage.

Chinggis Warriors faced Just Swing in their upper bracket quarter-final and after Just Swing forfeited the opening map due to not being ready, they hit hard on Nuke with a 10-2 start on their opponent's map pick. A strong CT side from Chinggis Warriors saw them fight back but it was Just Swing holding on for a 13-11 win. On the decider on Inferno, it was the story of two strong CT sides which saw the map head to overtime. Chinggis Warriors once again came out on top at the end, walking away with a 16-14 win to take the series 2-1.
