BOROS releases first statement post ban
After being embroiled in controversy once again, Alter Ego's player Mohammad 'BOROS' Malhas has released his first statement after being barred from playing in the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 by the tournament organiser for using 'racially discriminatory language' during the preparation for the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026.
In a social media post released on his X account, BOROS said his 'recent words were inappropriate and came across as racist' but 'it was not his intention.' He apologised to his Chinese friends and mentioned that he will be 'more mindful' how he communicates moving ahead. He also released an apology towards his organisation, Alter Ego, with Alter Ego yet to address the matter publicly.
In a social media clip shared by user f00d, the user stated that he was arguing with a Taiwanese player but BOROS called them 'ching chong'. f00d also alleged that BOROS is 'toxic in every game in SEA servers' and majority of the people call him out in game for his behaviour.
With BOROS not allowed to play at the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026, Alter Ego, who have made the main event through the Closed Qualifier has been playing with tomiko in place of the Jordanian.
