Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 Closed Qualifier Day 3: Recap

The third day at the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 Closed Qualifier saw the two teams book their place in the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 main event as Alter Ego and 5star went through the qualifiers while we also saw six teams eliminated.

Here's a quick look at the third day's action from the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 Closed Qualifier.

Group A

The Group A lower bracket semi-finals saw an all-Chinese clash to get things going as Wings of Freedom took down compatriots Nas in straight maps with a 13-8 and 13-9 wins. The other elimination game saw BORING PLAYERS face off against Unitronics and BORING PLAYERS edged past mixed Asian team with two narrow 13-11 wins.

The group A upper bracket final, which was a qualification game for the main event saw Mongolian team 5star take down JiJieHao with 13-8 wins on Ancient and Anubis to qualify for the main event. The lower bracket final meanwhile saw Wings of Freedom face BORING PLAYERS with BORING PLAYERS reverse sweeping Wings of Freedom in a close game.

The Group B games saw Last Bullet beat Mongolian team BMZ 2-0 with Roninbaby and lan having a strong map while the other lower bracket semi-final, also a Chinese and Mongolian clash saw Just Swing ease past ZEVS with a 13-5 and 13-4 win to stay alive in the qualifier.

The group's upper bracket final saw Alter Ego take down Rooster as BnTeT and Polbandana starred in a 2-0 win. The lower bracket final had Just Swing and Last Bullet taking on each other with Last Bullet eliminating fellow countrymen with a 2-1 win .
