The Huns fall closer to elimination after Aurora hammering
The Huns are one loss away from elimination at PGL Astana 2026 after suffering a big loss at the hands of Turkish team Aurora in their Swiss round 2 game. The Mongolian team weren't able to put up a fight against XANTARES and co. and now drop to the 0-2 bracket after going down in two straight maps to Aurora.
The Huns' pick of Nuke was the opening map of the series as the Turkish team started with the pistol and conversions. There was not much The Huns found on a flat T side barring four consecutive rounds thanks to a couple of B hits but that was all as a flawless T side saw Aurora ease to a 13-4 win.
A Wicadia quad kill shut down an A hit from The Huns to hand Aurora the pistol on Dust2 and with Wicadia starting strong, The Huns were just not able to penetrate Aurora's defence as the Turkish squad were untouchable. A B hit in the 10th round saw sk0R and nin9's full house get The Huns on the board and one was all they found on a poor T side.
A quad from sk0R saw The Huns find their first pistol of the series and while they kept it clean against the eco, Aurora wasted no time in closing out a 13-3 win once they brought out the guns with Wicadia on top of the scoreboard with 22 kill with an ADR of 118.
The loss has dropped The Huns one loss away from elimination as they now are in the 0-2 bracket while Aurora put up their first win in Astana and move to the 1-1 bracket.
