Rare Atom parts ways with Tiger

Tiger departs Chinese squad

Rare Atom have announced the departure of Junbing 'Tiger' Zhen, who leaves the team after a spending nearly 11 months with the Chinese team. With Tiger leaving the team, Rare Atom now only have three players on their active roster.

Tiger leaves Rare Atom in a period where the team has parted ways with multiple players and coaches recently, with their coach z8z leaving the day just a couple of days before. x9, who joined Rare Atom from FengDa in March 2026, also left the team in late April. Prior to joining Rare Atom, Tiger had spent time on DogEvil, Newhappy, CR and Reece.

Tiger, who served as the team's main AWPer, leaves Rare Atom after putting up a 1.08 rating for the team across his near-year long stint. Rare Atom have been playing with Trash and 3gl in the last couple of game. Tiger's final tournament with Rare Atom was the XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 Finals, where Rare Atom finished 4th after losing to TYLOO in the lower bracket final. Tiger finished the event with a 1.15 rating across 10 maps and was the second highest rated player for Rare Atom in the event behind chengking.

Having failed to make the cut-off for the IEM Cologne Major 2026, Rare Atom will be next seen in action at the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026.
