TYLOO, JiJieHao continue dominant run at Hero ACL

Both Mongolian sides plagued by failed conversions

Group A's upper semi-finals have concluded at the Hero Asian Champions League. JiJieHao and Chinggis Warriors who secured narrow 2-1 wins in the opening round faced each other and on the other side of the bracket TYLOO took on Mongolian side 5star. Here's a quick look at how things went down in the upper semi-finals of Group A at Hero Asian Champions League:

  • JiJieHao vs Chinggis Warriors

The first upper semi-final started on Ancient with Chinggis Warriors securing pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions on the T-side. However, the Mongolian side were too stubborn with their mid-takes, conceding their advantage and drawing an even 6-6 first half. Chinggis Warriors hit double digits right out the gate off of a four-round streak on the CT-side but once again failed to convert their advantage as JiJieHao fought back and pushed the game into overtime where they secured a 16-13 win.

Chinggis Warriors returned the favor on Dust2, bagging nine CT-side rounds in a row to fetch themself a 9-3 lead at halftime. JiJieHao showed similar CT-side prowess, nearly closing the gap at 9-10 but Chinggis Warriors recovered just in time to close the map 13-9 and level the series at 1-1. The decider was played out on Mirage and it was JiJieHao this time bagging a nine-round CT-side and a 9-3 lead. The middle eastern core dropped just a single round on the T-side to close Mirage 13-4 and the series 2-1.

  • TYLOO vs 5star

Coming off of a dominant 2-0 in the first round against Ground Zero, TYLOO took on 5star in the upper semi-final. The series started on Overpass where 5star failed to convert their 4-0 advantage on the CT-side as TYLOO went 6-2 towards the end of the half to level the playing field at 6-6. TYLOO struggled in their initial CT rounds but JamYoung fired on all cylinders once the gun rounds began, fetching TYLOO a 13-11 win on Overpass.

Another failed conversion from 5star saw the Mongolian side drop a 5-1 lead on the T-side of Ancient to concede a 5-7 half. TYLOO's pistol and anti-eco wins came at a cost in the second half and 5star made the most of it once they denied TYLOO's bonus. 5star's comeback was short-lived as TYLOO broke their four-round streak with one of their own to lock down Ancient 13-9 and the series 2-0.
