The MongolZ fumble at the end to drop to must-win territory
The MongolZ missed out on making the Playoffs at PGL Astana 2026 with a 3-1 record after going down 1-2 to Falcons which sees karrigan's boys make it to the Playoffs while The MongolZ are now in a do-or-die territory.
Falcons' pick of Dust2 got going with The MongolZ starting with the opening pistol and conversion but it was kyousuke and m0NESY stepping up on the gun rounds as Falcons raced to a 7-3 score line. Two late rounds saw The MongolZ salvage the half with five CT rounds but there was not much post that. It was a clean CT pistol from Falcons and it was a strong CT setup from karrigan and his boys as barring a 3v5 conversion, there was nothing else to show for on the T side for The MongolZ. A quad kill from m0NESY's AWP closed out Dust2 at 13-8.

A full house from NiKo and kyousuke saw Falcons turn around a 3v5 of their own to start Inferno with the CT pistol but bLitz stepped up in the force buy to see The MongolZ answer instantly. karrigan denied a late bomb plant for see Falcons steal their second and it was the m0NESY and kyousuke duo once again causing all sorts of trouble for The MongolZ. A couple of chaotic B hits helped The MongolZ find five but it was Falcons taking the lead at the half.

A clinical retake on the B site by bLitz and cobrazera saw them even out the pistols on Inferno. A stellar defence on the B site saw The MongolZ go on to take the lead on the map and hit double digits. A TeSeS clutch against mzinho saw the Falcons finally put up their first T round after five in a row from The MongolZ. Falcons tied up the score at 10-10 as kyousuke's quad kill saw Falcons turn around a 2v5. A couple of big 1v1s from bLitz and cobrazera saw The MongolZ hit map point first and they held on for a narrow 13-11 win.
bLitz and mzinho's doubles netted The MongolZ the CT pistol on Mirage to start the decider and went on a five round streak before kyousuke's middle opener saw the young star put up a triple kill to get Falcons on the board. 1v1 clutches by the skin of their teeth from cobrazera and Techno saw The MongolZ continue their CT side dominance. TeSeS' openers at ramp in the final couple of rounds saw Falcons hit back to end the half with four T rounds.
mzinho's A site opener from Palace saw The MongolZ net both pistols on the decider and went 10-4 up in no time before Falcons pulled things back on their CT side. kyousuke and m0NESY brought Falcons back and Falcons pulled it all the way back to overtime before a clean sweep in overtime was them steal a 16-12 win to take the series 2-1.
The win sees Falcons move into the Playoffs with a 3-1 record while The MongolZ drop to the 2-2 bracket and have one last chance to qualify.
