
PGL Astana 2026 becomes the TO's most watched non-Major event
PGL Astana 2026 concluded a couple of days back and the tournament delivered on all fronts. The new-look Falcons with karrigan at the helm was something that built up massive anticipation. However, it was Spirit that stole the spotlight in the early stages of the tournament as donk hard-carried the Russian side into the playoffs and powered them to their first title win of the year.
The quality of Counter-Strike showcased at PGL Astana 2026 reflected in the viewership numbers as the event became PGL's most watched non-Major Counter-Strike event and also Kazakhstan's most watched esports tournament.
The tournament recorded its peak viewership during the grand-final clash between Falcons and Spirit with 1,169,121 viewers tuning in at one point. PGL Astana 2026 achieved an average viewers count of 295,464 while gathering over 23 million watch hours. Russian viewers posted the highest peak viewership when categorized by language with 548,065 peak viewers.
