s1mple reacts to m0NESY's "s1" Cologne 2026 sticker tribute
In a recent update, Valve shipped the stickers and Pick'Em for the IEM Cologne 2026 Major. After going through, the community found an oddity in mONESY's autograph sticker. The Falcons star ever so slightly deviated from his original spelling, ending his name with "1". When asked about it, m0NESY responded on a Telegram channel, confirming that it was a token of respect/tribute to s1mple.

It looks as if he already left me behind, like I’m done for and not even in CS anymore.

However, s1mple did not seem too happy with the gesture. After clearly stating that he meant nothing but respect for m0NESY, s1mple assured the community that he would get stickers of his own in Counter-Strike 2, given that there were none in the current iteration of the game. s1mple's last in-game sticker came from BLAST.tv Paris 2023, the last Global Offensive Major.
s1mple then went on to share how the gesture felt like he wasn't even in Counter-Strike anymore and had hung up his boots. He again stressed on the fact that m0NESY did not mean it that way and his intentions came from a different place.
But I know he didn't mean it that way. It came from a different place. So... major respect to him.
