TYLOO face elimination after overtime loss to MIBR
TYLOO's IEM Cologne Major 2026 campaign is under threat of wrapping up in Stage 1 itself after the Chinese team suffered their second loss on the opening day, with TYLOO going down in overtime to MIBR in their 0-1 bracket game. Despite being blown away in the opening half on Nuke, TYLOO put up a heroic comeback attempt on their CT side to push the match to overtime but were unable to make the comeback stick and now are one loss away from elimination.
A double opener from kl1m saw MIBR start Nuke with the CT pistol and after a clean conversion against the eco, it was JamYoung and Mercury winning a 2v3 to time to get on the board. A multi-kill from kl1m put MIBR right back to winning ways immediately. JamYoung came inches close with a heroic quad kill to come close to handing TYLOO their second but MIBR continued to rack up the rounds as venomzera's 1v2 saw the Brazilian squad put up their fourth CT round in a row. A triple from Zero saw TYLOO put up a second round on the T side and that was all the Chinese team could manage on a lacklustre T side where they had no answer to MIBR's defensive hold.
A triple from Zero to stop a Ramp execute saw TYLOO pick up the second half pistol and the JamYoung and Zero duo saw TLYOO put up nine in a row to tie up the score at 10-10. A venomzera ace on a B execute saw MIBR finally find their first T round before Zero's triple saw TYLOO answer back instantly. A Jee and JamYoung multi-kill round saw TYLOO hit match point first and but it was MIBR holding on to lock in overtime. Impact from LNZ in overtime with multiple multi-kill rounds saw MIBR finally close Nuke at 16-14 to pick up their first win in Cologne.
