Chinggis Warriors drop early CT advantage to go down to HEROIC
Mongolian side Chinggis Warriors dropped a big lead on their CT side in their BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 opener against HEROIC, which saw Chinggis Warriors drop to the 0-1 bracket. The Mongolian team will be back in action later tonight.
Back-to-back B retakes saw Chinggis Warriors kick off the opening BO1 of the Austin Major 2025 on Anubis with the pistol win and conversion. Chinggis Warriors' three round streak to the game was stopped as SunPayus' 1v2 helped HEROIC put up their first T round. Chinggis Warriors replied instantly with a couple of upgraded pistols and a MP9 and a controlez clutch a couple of rounds later saw the Mongolian side pick up six on their CT half. HEROIC managed to salvage the half by ending their T side with five as xfl0ud was denied a 1v3 attempt by controlez in the final round of the half which saw Chinggis Warriors go 7-5 up.
Like the opening pistol, it was a B retake, this time from HEROIC to see them pick up the second pistol and despite some close rounds and LNZ stealing a 1v2 under Chinggis' nose saw a flawless CT half from HEROIC to start their Major campaign with a 13-7 win.
