BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major Stage 3: Preview

After two Swiss system iterations, we now arrive at Stage 3 of the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major, where the world's best teams like Vitality and Spirit among others, take stage for a shot at the Major playoffs. Vitality are currently on a 30 match LAN win streak and a six S-tier event win streak, easily becoming one of the frontier storylines in Stage 3 and the Austin Major.

Stage 3 also hosts a Swiss system where the initial games are bo1s. Qualification and elimination matches shift to bo3 settings. The MongolZ who had secured a direct Stage 3 invite through the Global VRS start their Major campaign against FURIA, who made it through Stage 2. Lynn Vision who've defied all odds so far across two stages of the Austin Major start their campaign against Liquid.

The 3-0 candidate from Stage 2, Legacy will face Vitality in the opening round. A donk-ZywOo showdown is highly unlikely given that Vitality and Spirit are two of the highest seeds, however the opening round has matched up FaZe against Aurora as s1mple comes face to face with XANTARES, which promises an electrifying turnout.

Two teams with 3-0 records head into the playoffs alongside five other teams with 3-1; 3-2 records. Teams that concede three matches are eliminated from the Major. Eight teams head into a single-elimination bo3 playoffs with the grand-final taking place on 22nd June 2025.
