EWC 2027 dates revealed

The dates for the 2027 Esports World Cup has just been announced on X. While the tournament organizer mentions that that the event will take place between 16th July and 1st August in 2027, no further details has been put out regarding the format and number of teams. With a considerable increase in tournament runtime, the event might see a different format.

The most recent iteration of the Esports World Cup (2025) ran a single-elimination bracket and The MongolZ emerged victorious. Carrying a prize pool of $1,250,000 USD, the Esports World Cup 2025 brought sixteen teams together in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The only scheduling conflict that the event might see is from FISSURE's second event of 2027. FISSURE's event is set to run from 12th July to 19th July in 2027.
