clouda: "On Overpass, our boys felt pressure"

Arise's clouda talks to Dust2 India in a post-match interview at Skyesports CEGC 2025

After picking up a comprehensive win on their opponent's map pick, Arise had the chance to lock in a win in their final group stage game at the Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025, but a sloppy mess on Train and a valiant effort on Overpass wasn't enough as Nemesis wasted no time in dispatching Bhavi and co. from the tournament.

After their game, Dust2 India caught up with clouda to talk about his emotions after putting up a valiant effort.

Right so clouda, after that loss on Train, were you regretting not picking up Inferno instead?

No, we did not regret. Because we had been losing Inferno. We were not able to close out on the map. And since their perma-ban was Train, we wanted to try it.

How were the individuals keeping up with the players on the server?

Individually it was okay. We did not step up on Train where we were supposed to. We were up 4-0, but after that we went down individually. We were not able to do what was required individually. And that costed us Train. Then on Overpass, our players felt pressure. They were not sure when to over peek. We lost many rounds because of that. We were not taking fights where we were supposed to, and taking fights where we were not supposed to.

You were almost able to pull off a comeback. Which player on the time was the one lifting everyone up?

I think everyone was motivating each other. No one was negative. Everyone was thinking positively.

Tell me about that last round on Overpass.

Ah, you just had to ask this (laughs). Last round I think we overthought. We got a pick on B, and Bhavi was able to fake A. At that time we should have pushed through the monster smoke. I think I got a kill, and Benzene got a kill. At that time, I think Benzene should have rushed. But we respected the smoke, which was a mistake. After that Bhavi also died on A, so couldn't go A or B. And when we went B, we had no time to play.
