BIG dispatches Mousquetaires to lift Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025 title
BIG have won the Skyesports Chennai Esports Global Championship (CEGC) 2025 title, beating French team Mousquetaires 3-1 in the final. The German squad not only take home the trophy but also a prize money of $30,000. JACKZ's Mousquetaires meanwhile, nets a prize money of $15,000.
Mousquetaires' pick of Dust2 got the final underway and JACKZ won out a 1v1 against JBOEN to time on the opening pistol with the young Danish AWPer's 1v2 unable to stick. JDC and prosus answered back for BIG with a force. Despite racking up some early rounds, the French team weren't caving in as a back and forth half saw Mousquetaires keep it to a two round game, with impact from tabseN and JBOEN right at the end seeing BIG go 7-5.
JDC and JBOEN handed BIG the second pistol on Dust2 and it was the young Danish stand-in AWPer for BIG who was having himself a game that saw them hit match point to go 12-6 up. drac and SIXER stepped up to see Mousquetaires begin a comeback on their CT side. An A long hit with JDC's triple made sure BIG weren't entertaining any more rounds as the German team won their opponent's pick at 13-9 with JDC and JBOEN topped the scoreboard with 22 and 20 kills respectively.
It was another full house from JDC and prosus to hand BIG the opening pistol on Overpass, turning around a 3v5. JACKZ's Scout helped Mousquetaires answer back with the force to go on a five-round streak. BIG broke the French team's streak with a B hit that ended up with tabseN knifing SIXER. Multi-kills from tabseN along with a massive 1v2 from JDC in the final round of the half saw BIG end the half with six in row to go 7-5 up.
Despite picking up the T pistol, Mousquetaires went down to a force from BIG. Barring drac denying JBOEN a 1v3, it was all BIG as JDC stepped up to see BIG go 13-7 on their map pick. JDC was once again at the top of the scoreboard, dropping 22 kills again.
devoduvek's triple opener in Banana handed Mousquetaires the T pistol on Inferno but the force wars continued. A back and forth half ended with JDC denying devoduvek a 1v4 in the final round of the half to keep the score tied at 6-6.
Mousquetaires secured both pistols on Inferno, picking up a clean CT pistol thanks to the Dualies of JACKZ and drac. tabseN got BIG's T-side going with a impactful triple on the A site. A trade of rounds including a big 1v1 clutch from Tarkky and impact from devoduvek saw Mousquetaires hold on for a 13-11 win.
After a trade of rounds to get Train underway, JDC's openers saw BIG end the half with four in a row to go 8-4 up. A quick A hit saw Mousquetaires lock in both pistols on Train and brought it to a one-round game. JBOEN's AWP got BIG's CT side on board and the young Dane was having himself a map, as with the AWP or rifle, he was unstoppable. A clean CT half from BIG saw them close Train at 13-8 to take the series 3-1 and win the final of Skyesports CEGC 2025.
