The podcast kicks off with Bleh talking about Asian Counter-Strike and then switches to his Counter-Strike journey.
Long story short- been watching Counter-Strike for a long time. I think it was 2001, I was playing Quake, Unreal Tournament- people were really good in those games, I used to get shit on and then I played Counter-Strike and was like "Wait! I can actually shoot back and kill people; slow things down a bit."
Bleh
Bleh spoke about how opportune a game of Counter-Strike is when compared to famous titles of its time like Quake. He emphasized on the round-resets that would allow teams to bring in something new, try a different strategy or go for Hail-Mary plays that turn games on its head, pointing out that in a game of Counter-Strike, one can always comeback and take the win right up until the last moments.
Speaking about his interest in esports, Bleh traces back to a friend of his who introduced him to professional play where he would frequently follow teams like 3DMAX, NiP, etc back in the early days of Counter-Strike. However, his entry to the competitive space started with cafe LANs and organized LAN events once in a while within India. Remembering his college days, Bleh mentions that he played a lot of LANs in and around Bengaluru, India- furthering his interest in the competitive space.
_I almost qualified to Cologne 2014 when Team Wolf made it to the Major! The slot opened up after olof and KRIMZ got bought out and LGB didn't exist. The slot was given to India. We finished third in the qualifiers and for the finals I told the TO- "Hey man, I'll commentate this one." for shits and giggles.
Bleh
Bleh started his journey with ESEA, casting high intensity games that received no coverage at the time. Bleh speaks about how he managed to pull that off while working a 9-5 job, quickly gaining traction as the "Asian Counter-Strike guy". Bleh speaks in detail about his first LAN casting experience.
