Lynn Vision outlast Rare Atom in incredible final to make EPL S23
Lynn Vision have beaten Rare Atom in the final of the ESL Challenger League Season 50 Asia-Pacific Finals which saw the Chinese derby go all five maps in an eventful BO5 encounter and have booked their place at ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 1. A back and forth series last over five hours as the series went down to the wire. All of the five maps went the distance or to overtime that saw neither team give each other anything.
Rare Atom started the series with a narrow 13-11 win on their map pick and went 7-0 up on Lynn Vision's pick of Dust2 before the latter fought back. Starry led from the front with the Big Green as Lynn Vision picked up a 19-16 win to tie up the series. Rare Atom once again had to narrowly hold on, thanks to a strong CT half on their second pick of Ancient to go 2-1 up after another 13-11 win.
Lynn Vision's pick of Train finally saw a lopsided half to get things going as Rare Atom went 10-5 up after the second half pistol win and an answer with the force after dropping a force of their own. Westmelon and C4LLM3SU3 led the comeback on Train which saw Lynn Vision steal a 13-11 win with Westmelon ending the map with 30 kills in regulation. The decider on Overpass was another back and forth affair and it took three overtimes and a 49 kill show from Westmelon that saw Lynn Vision steal a 22-18 win to take the series 3-2.
The win for Lynn Vision sees them qualify to ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 1 over their compatriots.
