eXTREMESLAND 2025: Preview

The seventh iteration of Asia's biggest Counter-Strike event- eXTREMESLAND is all set to kick off tomorrow. ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2025 brings down the number of teams to twelve from sixteen and sees a significant increase in the prize pool. For the first time in the tournament's history, the prize pool crosses the 100K mark with $150,000 USD on the line. Gods Reign represented India in the previous eXTREMESLAND event but no Indian slot was handed out this time.

Here are all the teams taking battling it out at ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2025:

In this iteration of eXTREMESLAND, China bags three main event slots and Mongolia gets two slots while Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand combined), Japan, South Korea, Middle East, Oceania, Vietnam and Philippines get one slot each. In the group stage, twelve teams are divided into four groups of three. A round-robin iteration eliminated one team from each group, sending the top two into an eight-team single-elimination playoffs bracket. All matches in the group stage are best-of-ones and all matches in the playoffs are best-of-threes.

Lynn Vision will take on Nemesis in the tournament opener tomorrow at 09:30 AM IST. The final games for the first two days are scheduled at 02:30 PM IST. On Saturday, 20th December 2025, the playoffs begin at 07:30 AM IST and the last quarter-final game is set to start at 04:30 on the same day. The semi-finals and grand-final will take place on Sunday, 21st December 2025.
