Media: Argentina to host Major in 2027

HLTV have released an exclusive report which states that FiReSPORTS will host the first Major of 2027 in Argentina, with the Major set to be hosted in Buenos Aires. HLTV have confirmed the information with FiReSPORTS' founder and CEO, Rodrigo Figueroa Reyes. Additionally, HLTV have also stated that Perfect World host the second Major of 2027, which will be held in Shanghai once again.

With FiReSPORTS hosting the first Major in Buenos Aires, it will be the first-ever Major in Argentina who will become the 14th country to host a Valve-backed Counter-Strike Major. The FiReSPORTS Major in Buenos Aires is reported to run from May 31, 2027 to June 20, 2027. It will also be the first Major in South America since the IEM Rio Major 2022.

HLTV's report also says that Perfect World has won the bid to host the second Major of 2027, which will be held in Shanghai, China. The Shanghai Major of 2027 is set to take place between November 22, 2027 to December 12, 2027. This will be the second Major to be hosted in Shanghai, after the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, which Spirit won. The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 was also the first-ever Major to be held in Asia. The second Major of 2026, which PGL will host, will also be hosted in Asia, in Singapore.

With the Majors for 2027 having been confirmed, HLTV also reports that they have learnt that the two Majors of 2028 will be hosted by ESL and BLAST.
