Bhavi, Ph1NNN's Biryani starts PGL Bucharest West Asia Closed Qualifier with a loss to Legion
The second game at the PGL Bucharest 2026 West Asia Closed Qualifier saw Bhavi and Ph1NNN's mixed Indo-Pakistan team Biryani go down to Legion in their upper bracket semi-final encounter. The loss drops Biryani to the lower bracket and they will take on THE UNIT to keep themselves alive in the qualifier after 0-2 loss to Legion.
Legion's pick of Dust2 got the series going with Bloody and hf opening up the B site handing Legion the T side pistol. A big round from SOULM8 in the opening gun round saw Biryani get on the board. Continuous B hits saw Legion win out the half and Biryani found two consecutive rounds at the very end to see the Indo-Pak team walk away with four CT rounds.
PokemoN denied Ph1NNN a 1v3 in the second pistol to see Legion lock in both pistols on Dust2 and were up 11-4 in no time after clean conversions. Biryani though showed fight as HSB's AWP along with Bhavi and SultaaN stepping up after a slow start, which saw them bring it to a two round game. Biryani's comeback though, fell short as a triple kill round from PokemoN saw Legion hold on for a nervy 13-10 win.
PokemoN kicked off Biryani's Nuke right from where he left off on Dust2, with a crisp triple kill that saw Legion pick up the CT pistol. Biryani, though, were soon on the board thanks to a Bhavi 1v2 in the first gun round. Legion were beginning to run away with the half before a Tec-9 push saw Biryani steal a round and with HSB's AWP finding openers, Biryani made sure to make it a competitive half at 6-6.
A top site hit saw Legion continue their pistol streak, thanks to a clean pistol and it was a clean T side from Legion with PokemoN and Bloody taking charge that saw the Pakistani team secure a 13-8 win to wrap up the series in two. Biryani will face THE UNIT in the lower final while Legion will take on ScarX in the upper final, with both games scheduled for today itself.
