The MongolZ have gone down to B8 in the Group B upper bracket semi-final at the CS Asia Championships 2026 which denied The MongolZ a flawless run into the Playoffs. cobrazera and Techno's Dualies helped The MongolZ pick up the CT pistol on the opening map of Ancient but B8 were on the board instantly once they brought out the guns. After three in a row to take the lead of the half a mixed buy with 910's M4A1-S doing the heavy lifting on the B site got The MongolZ their first gun round and a couple of B site shutdowns saw them take the lead a 5-3. A back and forth end to the half saw an quad kill from alex666 including a 1v2 on the A site help B8 to tie up the half at 6-6.
A triple from alex666 saw B8 turn around a 3v5 to retake on the A site to pick up the second pistol but The MongolZ answered with a quick force that saw them retake the lead on Ancient. The MongolZ went on to hit double digits first before a couple of big multi-kill rounds from npl kept B8 alive and map point seemed primed up for them before mzinho and 910 bailed The MongolZ out of a 3v4. npl and s1zzi put B8 on map point with a Donut shutdown of an A execute and it was back-to-back A retakes from B8 to see them wrap up their map pick at 13-11 on the back of a strong CT half.
If the Dualies netted The MongolZ the opening pistol on Ancient, it was B8's time on Nuke with s1zzi and kensizor's Dualies shutting an A hit to hand the Ukrainians the opening pistol but it was a force buy answer from The MongolZ as cobrazera held on in a 1v1 against esenthial to get The MongolZ's T side going. The MongolZ ran away with their T side with a 910 1v2 helping them go up 6-1 before B8 found a late couple of rounds to keep The MongolZ's lead to two. A 910 and Techno full house saw The MongolZ pick up the CT pistol and clean conversions saw them go up 11-5 in no time. A brawl at ramp helped B8 find their first T round and they brought it to a two-round game before a cobrazera 1v2 on the B site saw The MongolZ hit map point. B8 pushed it to all rounds of regulation but it was mzinho's Ramp hold in the final round of regulation that helped The MongolZ stay alive in the series with a 13-11 win.
An A hit saw B8 take the opening pistol on their T side on Mirage but once again it was force buy win from The MongolZ and the force buy wars continued with a triple from npl. The force buy wars continued as The MongolZ then answered with one of their own as cobrazera's MP9 closed the B site and followed it up with an ce on the B site on his own to give The MongolZ the lead. A back and forth start to the half saw The MongolZ find late momentum on their CT half to pick up a four round lead before it was npl's quad that brought B8 back in the game. B8 tied up and then took the lead of the map as esenthial denied 910 a 1v2 on the A site. 910 and Techno turned around a 3v5 for The MongolZ to get their ninth but a couple of A site shutdowns saw B8 reach map and match point first. B8 made sure to not give The MongolZ any room for comeback as npl's 23 kill performance saw B8 lock in a 13-9 win.
